India’s Coronavirus Cases Cross 4.7 million, 1114 people died in one day

Another 1,114 people have died in the last 24 hours in India due to the Kovid-19 epidemic. With this, 78 thousand 57 people have died in the country. India’s reliable media NDTV published the news on Sunday morning quoting the Indian Ministry of Health.

In the last 24 hours, 94,372 new patients have been identified in India. India holds the record for the second highest number of Kovid patients in the world in a single day.

With this, the total number of corona patients in India stood at 47 lakh 54 thousand 358 (4.7 million). 36 lakh 2 thousand 595 (3.6 million) of them have recovered. Of these, 78,399 people have recovered in the last 24 hours.

Maharashtra is the most affected state in coronavirus. It is followed by Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, West Bengal, Telangana, Bihar, Orissa, Assam and Gujarat respectively.

29,115 people have died in Maharashtra due to coronavirus infection. The next highest number of deaths was in Tamil Nadu at 8,308, followed by Karnataka at 7,171, Andhra Pradesh at 4,846 and Delhi at 4,615.


India is the worst affected country in Asia for the coronavirus epidemic. According to the World Health Organization, India has been diagnosing the highest number of covid patients in the world daily since August 4. The country ranks second only to the United States in terms of total number of patients.
