Pence Faisal was on home-isolation there to survive the outbreak of the coronavirus. Now family members are in the dark about his whereabouts. Anxiety has reportedly increased as he has a heart problem. Prince Faisal, who studied in London, has good relations with the Saudi intelligence service. He has also served as the head of the Red Crescent Society as a minister.

Earlier, Prince Mohammed bin Salman was arrested in connection with an anti-corruption operation, Reuters reported. But at the end of 2017, he was released. Faisal was added to the list of hundreds of princes

Prince Mohammed bin Salman succeeded Mohammed bin Nayef in a palace coup in 2017. Sources close to the royal family said the arrests were part of a concerted effort to ensure loyalty within the ruling royal family in the wake of Salman’s abdication or the death of Prince Mohammed bin Salman as king.

Whether Faisal’s arrest has anything to do with the March operation; It is not yet known. Ahmed’s son Nayef and Mohammad bin Nayef’s brother Nawaf were also detained. Critics say Prince Mohammed bin Salman is carrying out the arrests to consolidate his power.

Michael Page, deputy director of Middle East affairs at Human Rights Watch, said Faisal was added to the list of hundreds of prince detained in Saudi Arabia without any legal basis. However, Saudi Arabia has been claiming that no one is being arrested illegally. HRW said it was not immediately clear where Prince Faisal was being held or what his condition was.

Prince Faisal has not publicly criticized the Saudi authorities since December 2017. The family is reported to be concerned about his health as he is suffering from heart problems.
